Joseph....
This makes a lot of sense. In fact, when we write articles don't the same factors play out? So, it's not only for close relationships, but for communication in general.
I have a friend that begins most responses to anything I say with "You just don't understand..."
Makes for a logjam in the conversing department.
Thanks, Claudia

I like this. Seems more fitting to "reframe" the reason for skipping out on work when it is afterall, enhancing one's personal self. :)
Maybe it could help people open up the possibilty of actually enhancing, rather then "treating" by saying it to someone else... making it even that much more real for the individual seeking the help. :)

I have taken the online right brain left brain test and each and every time The results have plopped right in the 50-50 category.

I havent taken this test for at least 6 years now. When I just took it
I am 40% left 60% right. hmmmmm

I was an IBM technical guy - now retail business owner - I noticed the change mentally so I took the test. I was confirmed .

I am constantly amazed at the powerfulness of hypnosis. It is fundamental to changing ones attitude and expectations in life.

Those are interesting studies and the results make very good sense. Its nice to see that funding for such research is becoming more readily available.

San,
There is SO much to learn about hypnosis and NLP. Learning to "entrance" yourself is always good ;-). You might find it useful to look into hypnosis training. I recommend Jerry Kein (Google him). Live training is always better than distance learning when it comes to hypnosis. Books are good, but live training is better...
Hypnosis can use NLP to enhance its effectiveness but NLP is not necessary to make hypnosis better. NLP can use hypnosis to enhance it but hypnosis is not necessary to make NLP better. NLP speaks to HOW we communicate with ourselves and others whereas hypnosis involves techniques for accessing a person's subconscious mind. Skillful use of hypnosis and NLP can make both hypnosis and NLP amazingly powerful when it comes to mind control and conditioning - as in goal achievement.
For a NLP starter, check out my "10 Cognitive Thinking Errors" post on this blog - it's among the "Most Popular Posts" links on this page.
Good luck and best wishes with your conditions.

thankyou so much for your encouraging words. I am determined to find the cause of my hayfever. Energy Medicine is attractive. I am trying to read as much material as I can.

I want to steer clear of mediciations, becoz, I know I am only masking symptoms by taking drugs.

Anyways, Can you tell the core difference between NLP and hypnosis? I have ordered a bunch of books from library on these topics, and am all set to read it. Do you have any books you recommend? So far I have read "Energy Medicine" by Donna Eden.
