San,
There is SO much to learn about hypnosis and NLP. Learning to "entrance" yourself is always good ;-). You might find it useful to look into hypnosis training. I recommend Jerry Kein (Google him). Live training is always better than distance learning when it comes to hypnosis. Books are good, but live training is better...
Hypnosis can use NLP to enhance its effectiveness but NLP is not necessary to make hypnosis better. NLP can use hypnosis to enhance it but hypnosis is not necessary to make NLP better. NLP speaks to HOW we communicate with ourselves and others whereas hypnosis involves techniques for accessing a person's subconscious mind. Skillful use of hypnosis and NLP can make both hypnosis and NLP amazingly powerful when it comes to mind control and conditioning - as in goal achievement.
For a NLP starter, check out my "10 Cognitive Thinking Errors" post on this blog - it's among the "Most Popular Posts" links on this page.
Good luck and best wishes with your conditions.

thankyou so much for your encouraging words. I am determined to find the cause of my hayfever. Energy Medicine is attractive. I am trying to read as much material as I can.

I want to steer clear of mediciations, becoz, I know I am only masking symptoms by taking drugs.

Anyways, Can you tell the core difference between NLP and hypnosis? I have ordered a bunch of books from library on these topics, and am all set to read it. Do you have any books you recommend? So far I have read "Energy Medicine" by Donna Eden.

San,
There is no one-size-fits-all treatment that works for everyone. I think you are on the right track - try EVERYTHING - until you find a process that works best for you. And sometimes medication is the best route. I shared what worked for me and many others I've worked with. That doesn't necessarily mean it will work for you. NLP might help you. Hypnosis may help you. Rapid Eye Technology might help you. EFT might help you. Keep searching for that "right" process for you. I just know you'll find it.
Blessings,
Joseph

Hi Joseph,
thankyou for the article. I am very interested in Energy Medicin, NLP, hypnosis and I am trying to use this approach to CURE my seasonal allergies and get more energy. But so far no luck.
I tried NAET treatments and it did not do anything for me, contrary to all the good things I had read in the internet. Anyways I am back to square one.
I am 34 years old and suffer from Hayfever and am mostly allergic to RAGWEED pollen in Aug-Sept. But this year, for some reason, I am getting hayfever in March ( tree pollen I assume).
I have read about the power of subconsious mind, how we need to reprogram our sub-consious mind to attack the allergies at their core. basically some kind of self-hypnosis.
I tried EFT, in month of Feb, when I felt I was coming down with flu, but with not much success.
Now March-April is here and I am getting hayfever. I have been trying the TAT ( Tapas Accupressure Technique) pose, when I am ready to sleep for my allergies. Perhaps it helps little bit and helps my sinuses clear up and am able to sleep. Or is it just my imagination.

Anyways, do you have any tips/ guidance on how to tackle HAYFEVER once and for all. I want to fix the root cause of the problem. Also seems my 5 year old also inherited this from me, and complains of blocked nose, stuffy nose etc.

Can NLP, hypnosis etc help her...I wish I really knew the trick and could help her and myself to start with. Any books you would recommend?

Here is the reply I got from you regarding RET Tapping Sequence.

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry. The RET eye movement is demonstrated and illustrated at http://rapideyetechnology.com/selfcare.htm. The tapping points are covered in my EFT video at http://jbennette.com/resources/eft.htm. The scrambler is a RET process that is outlined in the text of my blog post - and taught to RET Technicians in their training. The theory behind scramblers is that we put the mind into overload in order to cause a certain level of "trance" - an old hypnosis trick - the trance state then allows access to subconscious processes and deep beliefs - the scrambler process outlined in the post, theoretically releases the mental belief holding the symptoms in place - making the affirmations outlined in the text more effective.

Since I posted that article in 2006, experience has taught me to start simple and go more complex. In other words, start with EFT on the symptoms, then add the RET eye movement if the EFT is not completely effective. If the EFT with RET eye movement still fails to completely eliminate the symptoms, I add on the scrambler and that usually does the trick.

One last thing - the process outlined in the post will not cause instant relief of symptoms. Give it time to work. In most cases, using the process I outlined in the post, I'd see relief of my cold in hours rather than days - usually without taking time off work. In some cases, symptoms seemed to worsen, but not for long - it was as though someone put the "run" of the cold on fast forward.

Thanks again for the inquiry. I hope I helped you.

In the future, I'd like it very much if you'd post your questions in a comment on the web site. That way, as we discuss your inquiry on the web site, others who may have the same or similar question as you can see our discussion and learn from it. Thank you.

Best wishes,
Joseph
