I have taken the online right brain left brain test and each and every time The results have plopped right in the 50-50 category.

I havent taken this test for at least 6 years now. When I just took it
I am 40% left 60% right. hmmmmm

I was an IBM technical guy - now retail business owner - I noticed the change mentally so I took the test. I was confirmed .

Thanks for the comment, Alistair. Sorry it didn't get posted as it should have when you made it. In answer to your question about empirical evidence - no, I don't have any independent research. However, Allen Sargent's book, The Other Mind's Eye, promotes the theory that brain dominance can be controlled - at least temporarily - depending upon the task at hand. I've demonstrated this using Sargent's simple hand/eye testing technique and it seems to work as Sargent suggests. Not very scientific, but my article was not intended to be scientific - just an opinion and theory - coupled with a simple technique to try at home. Thanks again.

I am a Director of MyBrain International (<a href="http://www.mybrain.co.uk)" target="_blank">http://www.mybrain.co.uk)</a> that specialises in training people in the uses of the subject of Brain Dominance in the field of training and development.

I therefore read your article with interest as I have never heard of this shifting of dominance before.

Do you have any empirical evidence to support this or can you point to any independent research to substantiate this theory?

Many thanks.
